It is growing tougher for the wine industry since the year 2008 as the product is being over supplied in the market whereas its demand has turned weak comparatively. But, recently some hopes of mending have been cited in the industry and so has the confidence of the winegrowers started building up once again.

A dairy cooperative, Fonterra has been penalized for the harm caused to a worker while working in a cheese factory machine. A trial called over the case has fined Fonterra with $62,500.
It has been informed that in April 2011, the worker of the Fonterra got into the cheese packaging machine when it stopped working because of some technical faults. While the worker was inside the machine, it jump started automatically.

Warning bells for a Calgary-based company, as there are reports of suspected contamination of Listeria in its pre-cooked Asian foods. In consequent to the report, Ginger Beef Corp came into swift action and closed its plants while all products spread in five provinces were called back.
