According to Diablo III, Blizzard's Battle. net service has been hacked. In an update on it's website, the company revealed that their security team discovered unauthorized and illegal access into their internal network. Investigation involving security experts and law enforcement are underway.

Blizzard Entertainment Co-founder & President Mike Morhaime has announced that the company would start external beta testing for Diablo III sometime during the third quarter of 2011, with a possible release before the end of this year.

Morhaime was speaking at the company’s first quarter investor call. Speaking on the topic, Morhaime said, “The game is looking great, and we are currently targeting a Q3 launch for external beta testing."
