Google launches new YouTube iPhone app

The new iPhone 5 launch is just around the corner but Google didn't seem to wait for the launch of the new phone and released a new version of the YouTube app with some significant upgrades. The app that comes pre-installed in iPhones would not be present in the new phone or any iPhone upgraded to iOS6. Now with this new app Tens of thousands of additional videos can now be played through the iOS app, notably major-label music videos.
India remain major market for Google

Internet search giant Google sees India as a big opportunity for its products as the number of Internet users in the country is growing fast.

Google’s Patent search gets upgraded

Google's patent search is giving prior art some love as well with the addition of the aptly named "Prior Art Finder" to its patent search tool. Marked by a patently obvious blue button, the new addition serves up relevant prior art results by using key phrases from a patent's text and putting them together in a search query.
Google to buy Frommer’s

In it's bid to become the premier destination for local reviews and online listings, Google will buy Frommer's, a travel guidebooks brand. The brand that was launched in 1957 when Arthur Frommer published his guidebook, `Europe on $5 a day'. An undisclosed amount will be paid by Google for Frommer's brand. This deal will give the Internet giant a vast and growing archive of digital reviews for its local listings, maps and mobile applications.
