Nocturnal hypoglycemia or night time hypos is common in people who treat their diabetes with insulin. Symptoms are usually only realized by a person when they wake up from a hypo. Therefore, it becomes very difficult to detect that a person is suffering from any such thing.
Kits employed by diabetics in emergencies have been recalled for a second reappearance.
The Danish maker, Novo Nordisk, has called for a fault with respect to kits released in a batch first distributed early last month, and has asked for the recall.
It is stated that as many as 3000 kits may be affected. The GlucaGen Hypokit which is aimed to treat severe low blood sugar will be offered.
