Sony Renames its Brand

In order to strengthen its brand, Sony is renaming Play station Networks as Sony Entertainment Network. In its official statement, it told that the decision would help them to unify their brand and would take them one step closer to their ambition.

Going by the news posted in the community forums of Sony UK, the latest Android iteration - the Android version 4.0 `Ice Cream Sandwich' (ICS) - will come aboard two of the company's devices, Tablet S and Tablet P.

It has been reported that Sony is planning to launch its own Internet-based TV service. It is believed that if Sony proves successful in launching its own Internet-based TV service then it will substitute cable-TV and satellite operators.
Sony suspends around 100,000 accounts after new hack attempts

Japanese electronics & entertainment giant Sony yesterday confirmed that it had temporarily suspended around 100,000 PlayStation Network (PSN) and Sony Online Entertainment users accounts after detecting a new cyber attack.
Sony, the world’s second-larger videogame machines manufacturer, said it detected new unauthorized log-in attempts made between October 7 and October 10.
PlayStation Vita won’t download files exceeding 20MB

Potential owners of Sony's PlayStation Vita will not be able to use the console's 3G connection to download the files that exceeds the size of 20MB.
In an interview with Japanese magazine ASCII, a Sony executive confirmed that the company's upcoming PlayStation Vita gaming console would have 3G download limits of up to 20MB.
