Coal Train Derailment Causes Obstruction

The re-opening of the main rail line between Rockhampton and Longreach is still indefinite, says the Queensland Rail.
The line has been closed since the coal train ,wrecked next to Duaringa, west of Rockhampton in central Queensland, in early morning yesterday.
The derailment has resulted in obstructed admittance to the Gladstone port for the coal pit by the Blackwater rail structure.
Virgin Blue to Stay Focused on Leisure Market

Virgin Blue has denied that the airline is giving up its position in the leisure market. It confirmed that the Company will maintain a strong presence in this market. This was confirmed by its CEO, John Borghetti. He also pointed out that the Company will increase competition to deliver better deals for business customers.
The New Mel- Sin Flights to Re-Link Business; Jetstar

The Qantas Airways Ltd-owned Jetstar to start direct flights from Melbourne to Singapore, from the month of December, which is likely to endow a sturdy base for the escalation of the low-cost carrier's long-haul ambitions.
The Jetstar Airways Chief Executive, Bruce Buchanan said that these flights will be directed with the help of two Airbus A330-200 aircraft, which will be based in the city-state itself.
FreightLink being Purchased For A$334million by Genesee & Wyomin

U. S. freight rail operator, Genesee & Wyoming Inc. has decided to purchase FreightLink, the proprietor and operator of Australia's Darwin to Adelaide railway, for supposedly A$334 million in cash and existing debt services.
The rail service that mainly subsists to offer transport for the resource businesses in SA and NT, went into running last year.
Daily Auckland and Singapore Flights to Be Resumed by Jetstar

Low-priced airline, Jetstar is set to launch a new daily direct service between Auckland and Singapore eventually for the Rugby World Cup.
The new service will commence on March 17 in the subsequent year and preliminary fares could be as low as almost $100 for one way.
Jetstar says that its standard fares on its daily direct flights that will be lower than the only carrier on the same route, Singapore Airlines.
