Mr. Peter Jenkins, 64, who was diagnosed with prostate cancer, and was given the all-clear in January following an early detection, is all set to launch from the Sydney International Boat Show at Darling Harbour.
The scheduled event is an eight-metre ''rubber ducky'' rigid inflatable boat bound for the ''over the top'' of Australia to Perth.

According to scientists in Sydney they have discovered something which can pave the way for an advanced treatment for people who suffer from the fatal asbestos related disease called mesothelioma.
The researchers from the Asbestos Diseases Research Institute said that they have found a “tumour marker” which could help medical experts to develop a new and improved treatment for patients of mesothelioma.
Aged Care Mistreatment Will Be Investigated, Says Federal Government

Following a News Ltd report on Sunday that revealed the "shocking neglect and cruel treatment" of elderly in two Sydney nursing homes by Bupa Care Services and Domain Principal Group.
It was informed by the ageing Minister Justine Elliot that charges are being investigated. The investigation is being conducted by Aged Care Complaints Investigation Scheme and the Aged Care Standards and Accreditation Agency.
Qantas Lands Safely at Sydney Airport after Experiencing Engine Failure

A Qantas passenger plane had a safe landing at Sydney Airport after it encountered major engine problems shortly after it became airborne from Singapore.
The Boeing 747 encountered mechanical problems affecting one of the plane's engines.
