As per the study released today most of the Canadians believe that their favorite health-care system requires a thorough revision. The study also threw light on some significant problems in accessing care and affordable prescription drugs.
As per the findings of the report of the Health Council of Canada which dubbed `How Do Canadians Rate the Health-Care System' more than half of the surveyed people believe that `fundamental changes' are required to make the system work more efficiently whereas around 10 percent of them think that it requires to be built completely.
The results are based on the Commonwealth Fund International Health Policy Survey 2010 and are compared to the Canadian sentiment of the residents in 10 more countries.
The survey contained a questionnaire with almost 100 questions and was answered by 20,000 adults in Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Norway, Sweden, Britain, Switzerland, New Zealand and the Netherlands.
On the whole the confidence was very improved and the quality of care was rated to be of top quality. Canada was last in the list when it came to access to primary care after hours.
