A Christchurch bus company has been sold. It was the company which had buses publicize of service. But now it is sold by a police clear out on mechanical faults.
Dozens of buses have been taken by the police. These buses were operated by several companies. It will not be working till the repairs are made. The defect which they found in the buses may cause serious risk to the public.
This week, after the serious checking by the police more than 60 buses were off Christchurch streets.
Christchurch Bus Services or CBS was the one company which was mainly at error. This was confirmed by the police commercial vehicle investigation unit.
Environment Canterbury (Ecan) said that it had been gloomy with CBS' meeting of contractual necessities. It manages the Metro bus system in Greater Christchurch.
Brian Jenkins of Ecan alleged that they have specified to them that if they get a reassurance that they can meet those requirements they would be looking at execution of their contract for a number of their methods.
