This Festive season will see pets being pampered

petsAccording to a study conducted by the Australian Companion Animal Council the Australian economy got a push up by pet ownership which contributed $6.02 billion last year.

Most of the expenses were linked with having a pet dog or cat which needed gourmet foods, toys, beddings, edible treats, veterinary treatment and grooming. This Christmas the pets are set to be highly indulged in pampering.

People treat their pets just like family members and this means that the pets also get Christmas gifts like a new bedding or a new collar. This is adding to the sales and thus pumping in money in the economy in the name of pet pampering.

Pets are as much a part of the Christmas celebration as are other friends and family members and more and more people are having pets these days which are treated just like kids in the house.

The expenses on these pets range anywhere between few dollars for a dog or cat to several hundred dollars for a top of the line cat scratching post.

The expenses have gone up with new and better options available in the market like a new bowl filled with goodies or a new kennel and even ornaments for the fish tank.
