Brumby’s campaign gets the support of OliviaOlivia Newton-John who is a cancer survivor will be the new face of Labor's Victorian election campaign following premier John Brumby's revelation of $138 million plan to fight cancer at the new centre which is named after her.

Olivia is a breast cancer survivor and was recently present at the Austin Hospital in Austin to assist the premier in launching the re-election plan which includes $44.7 million for the ultimate phase of the Olivia Newton-John Cancer and Wellness Centre which is being built in the city's northeast.

Another huge sum of $18.8 million have been allocated to the cancer prevention and screening which concentrates on UV education for the teenagers and bowel cancer screening for an added 57,000 Victorians.

Olivia accepted that this centre was a dream which has come true for her after seven long years of working hard at raising enough funds. She was on her way from Chile to Japan and had stopped in Melbourne.

She said while speaking to reporters, "When I went through cancer I was lucky enough to have wellness treatments to go along with my regular treatments of chemotherapy and surgery."
