Recently released figures by AA Insurance claims that car parking is the place where there are maximum chances of cars get damaged. The firm carried a survey involving 3708 drivers and found that 73 per cent of drivers have to suffer at the car parks despite making every effort for the vehicle’s safety.
A large number of New Zealanders try to hide their identity after damaging other’s cars and do everything possible for not leaving their personal detail; despite it is their legal obligation. This category includes 16 per cent people from Auckland and 13 percent from Christchurch.
AA Insurance Deputy General Manager Martin Fox said, "Despite these high levels of non-compliance, it seems that Kiwis aren't even honest about their lack of honesty."
Young drivers also refrain from divulging their personal details after damaging someone’s car as admitted by 28 percent of 18-24-year-old respondents.
