Concealing Secrets Leads To Suicidal Attempts

Concealing Secrets Leads To Suicidal AttemptsA lot of people commit suicide right after something terrible happens in their lives. The moment they suffer from depression or tension, they try to attempt suicide in order to end their sufferings.

American Professor Hatim Omar, of the University of Kentucky, lectured a lot of youths on the prevention of suicide by explaining that problems are part of life and can be sorted out by discussion. He said that things which prevent youth from attempting suicide are a word of advice from caring adults and interaction with the vulnerable victims.

"It doesn't take heroics to help kids, you just need to provide them with enough care and attention", Prof. Omar said.

There has been a decline in the suicide cases over a decade, said Prof. Omar. According to the OECD report, in New Zealand, 15.9 per thousand of youth aged from 15 to 19 die by committing suicide. But Prof. Omar hopes a change in the rate of suicide deaths after a number of people committed to change their minds.

Prof. Omar's lecture had a great impact on the people, as he asked them to share their problems with their family or friends so that it relives their mind and gives them time to rethink and decide.
