The MacMillan Cancer Support fundraisers are requesting people to help them in helping others who suffer from the dreaded disease of cancer.
The fundraising manager for Scarborough, Sally Millington, said, "We have some `be a star' posters which are ideal if you work in an office, or if you are part of a group or a school, or a local business or public house."
He added, "Not only does it save you money on cards, but it is also a green way to send some festive cheer and help others who may not be able to celebrate this year."
Macmillan has arranged for many seasonal scratch cards along with easy festive fundraising events which can make anyone be a part of them.
Sally also said that the charity is funded only by voluntary donations and therefore anyone who contributes knows for fact that the money given will make a difference in someone's life.
She said that people can make a huge difference this Christmas season by taking part in the events held by MacMillan and raise money for cancer sufferers.
