Xero has become the first New Zealand-based company to be placed amongst the top 10 fastest growing tech companies in the Asia-Pacific region. The latest Deloitte Technology Fast 500 list prepared by global consulting firm Deloitte has ranked it 8th in the list.
The list, which presents the top 500 fastest growing tech companies, ranks companies on basis of their top-line growth over a period of three years. At present, it’s considered as one of the benchmarks in the Asia-Pacific region.
While the Wellington-based online accounting firm Xero scored 2,250.26 per cent growth, the next kiwi company on in the list, Auckland-based Gopher, which deals in online business director development, scored 1,456.33 per cent growth.
However, overall the list spread smiles on kiwi faces as 11 companies from the country made their way into top 100. Last year, while a total of 51 businessmen from New Zealand made it to the list, 8 had managed to make it to the first 100.
Overall, Taiwan-based Giga Solar Materials Corp, a semiconductor manufacturer, emerged as the fastest growing company in Asia-Pacific with a score of 24,694.1 per cent growth.
