Supreme Court rules against Bartles, the Blue Chip investors

Supreme Court rules against Bartles, the Blue Chip investorsAfter winning in the appeal court last, the Bartles must have gone in the Supreme Court with high spirits. The hopes of getting their house back were shattered when the Supreme Court ruled the case against them.

Bruce and Dorothy Bartle were left horror-struck on the decision and just could not gulp down the decision from their throats. The Supreme Court contradicted the appeal court's decision by announcing that the GE loans of more than $600,000 were not oppressive.

The couple had filed the case in 2006 after having a tussle with Blue Chip and the Supreme Court decision now marks the end of their battle. The pensioner pair had by now put up for sale the apartment in $225,000 which was value $552,000 when they bought it.

The contract had their Whangrei residence as security along with GE and its prospect subsequent to the decision which is also in dark.

The loan amount offered by GE to the Bartles, had climbed up to $629,000. GE is now chasing the Bartles who have a combined income of $21,736, for the rest of the debt. The decision will also affect hundreds of other pensioners who took loan for their house.
