Workers very sensitive about wage rates, shows survey

Workers very sensitive about wage rates, shows surveyIn a survey done by the `The Dominion Post' it was shown that workers are very sensitive about the pay rates. This is what they got when they when they asked about their opinion on wages.

It showed that many of the workers are unwilling to discuss the matter unless their names were not used. It was also seen in some of the cases, like that one of KFC, where the fast-food giant was struggling for survival because of low wages that they gave. Some employees still say that while the work environment was good the money given to them was 'horrible'.

One of the employees said that staff was made to work for as many shifts as was possible. The regulations say that one needs to work only 45 hours in a week.

In KFC, the hours needed to put into work keep on changing as and when the management wants without any prior information given as to what will be the remuneration. All this makes even the international place not good one to work in.

The sad thing is that it was even paying its staff less when the company was doing very well.
