Body of a teenager was found besides railway track. That is sad. But what is good is that when the locomotive engineer found the body, he stopped by and gave CPR to the boy.
And he has been praised greatly by the police for going hosing to o what others would not have done. The body was found besides the tracks in Wellington.
Giving details about the happenings, Detective Senior Sergeant Donna Howard said that when the body was found by the engineer near the tracks in Rangoon Street in the suburb of Khandallah, the time was close to 7 PM. He then put the emergency brakes and went close to the boy with his assistance.
When nothing could be done the emergency services of Kiwi Rail was contacted. Post-mortem has already been carried on the body but no details about the teenager have been given till now.
The police said that it would be done once the kith and kin of the person are informed. No questionings have been done till now but the police has asked for any information that anyone would have regarding the case.
