China has started a new route between Auckland and Guangzhou, thus boosting the tourism ties between the two countries. China Southern Airlines is the first airline to take this initiative and will be running three flights via Melbourne each week carrying 88,000 extra seats every year than they are available as of now.
Simon Moutter, who is the chief executive at Auckland airport, believes that it will be giving a boost of extra $50 million. They are looking forward to tourism from China and other Asian countries as it will be important for the industry.
The service will take off from April next year. Notching up 5 million safe flight hours this is the safest airline of all times that China has ever had. This is also incidentally the world’s 6th largest airline.
Thirteen years ago was the last time a crash occurred in this airline which is a tremendous safety record. Budget prices are something that is least expected from this airline, as for the superior quality of services.
Its straight competition would be with Air New Zealand. As far as the number of visitors to New Zealand is concerned China is currently at number 4 in the list.
