iRiver Introduces Story to Markets Across UK

iRiver has now launched its Story e-book reader in markets across UK. Touted as a "stepping up to challenge Sony's version and Amazon's new Kindle", the reader has been manufactured by the South Korean firm famous for its MPs players, and is much more than just an electronic reader, packed with other features such as a dairy, scheduler and in-built speakers.

The device is equipped with a 6 inch 800x600 resolution display, and has an in-built memory of 2GB which is expandable and a full QWERTY keyboard. From one battery recharge, users can get up-to 700 page turns and it supports epub, pdf and txt format, in addition to displaying office files like doc, ppt and xls efficiently. The gadget also supports jpeg, bmp and gif image formats.

Story enables voice recording and playback via its speakers, which are perfect for both an audiobooks and music, users can continue playback while reading other things. It is equipped with a headphone jack as well.

According to iRiver, Story can fit up-to 1500 e-books, and it is equipped with Wi-Fi connectivity and a USB 2.0 port.
