Customers kept unknown about white gold jewellery

Customers kept unknown about white gold jewelleryThe jewellery industry has informed the Commerce Commission that customers must be known about the white gold or silver jewellery that has been plated with rhodium. A habitual protection is needed to it.

The Sunday Star-Times have detailed about it that a Disputes Tribunal case is being warned on it. Moreover there was no proper information was given to the customers on the plating or maintenance required on a white gold engagement ring.

A referee, Darrell Sveistrup has taken his money back of $5600 on purchase price on an engagement ring from the Auckland jewellery store Carati after the trial found the buyer. There was no information provided about the rhodium plating or the need for future replanting to him.

The result of providing no information is said to be nonsense by Mark Beckett, the Jewellers Association chairman. He is not in favor of it.

He reported that the thousands of others sold in New Zealand stores are equal to the ring sold by Carati. The price charged to it was to get together with New Zealand budgets.
