According to the International Monetary Fund, a Greek rescue programme is resuming to perform well because it gave its nod to a payment of a further _2.5 billion ($4.5 billion), as mentioned by a statement released in Washington today.
According to the IMF, the authorities of Greece were to be appreciated because of the kind of efforts they put in for implementing the budget reductions, fresh economic policies and other reforms. The inflation was coming down and Greece's economy was turning more competitive.
It added that the total fiscal adjustment till today has been quite impressive and that it was important that the fiscal structural reforms be advanced with force so as to make sure that the consolidation is lasting.
Further reforms are still required to encourage the potential growth, feels the IMF. Greece required making further alterations for forming fresh jobs, making the access to professions better and deregulating the tourism and retail trade.
It also feels that the market sentiment toward Greece continues to be volatile with the economy still adjusting and the unemployment still increasing.
