The Auckland employers are hoping to hire additional staff members in the coming year along with raising their wages and training.
It has been discovered by the Employers & Manufacturers Association (Northern)'s yearly members' employment survey that over 50% of the employers will either obviously hire additional staff (17%) or perhaps will (35%), as told by the employment services manager David Lowe says.
He said that further people had got their wages raised this year than in last year. 2009's 51% of the respondents had said that they gave a zero wage rise meanwhile in 2010 merely 11% did not raise their wages.
But the hope for 2011 is clouded with a lot of doubt and uncertainty, m for next year is tinged with a lot of uncertainty since around 30-40% of responses implied that they were still not yet sure regarding the hiring, redundancies, training, wage raises or the development of their businesses. However, on a balance more number of employers was optimistic about 2011 than the number of employers who were pessimistic.
The most important matter for the employers in the coming year will be to add skilled staff, and better the productivity and efficiency.
