The health protection agency has decided to reveal the death occurred this winters as a result of flu, which is as high as 20 with the majority liked with H1N1 swine flu virus.

The other type of flu responsible is type B. As per the statement issued on Tuesday by department of health, out of 20, 14 people have died due to swine flu and 3 from flu B. Flu attacks six people age of 18 and rest all were under age of 65.

In the views of Doctor Philip Monk, communicable diseases consultant for the Health Protection Agency (HPA) in the East Midlands these winters have prove worst for attack of influenza and virus for past ten years.

Including 24 children with five in intensive care with confirmed or suspected flu, another 12 patients aged 5 to 15, and 243 in age group of 16 to 64, there are total of 302 people under critical condition and intense care.

Flu can prove to be a more serious illness for pregnant women, the elderly class of people and sensitive persons like patients of diabetes, heart problems, lungs, liver and renal diseases(kidney disorder). Out of these, pregnant women are ten times more suspected to be attacked by the flu.
