Wikileaks Apps a Super-hit with Android Users

Steve-Jobs-Wikileaks-AppsEven after Steve Jobs succeeded in plucking all the apples with the tag of Wikileaks from his apple orchard, still there is no stopping to the success of Android-bases Wikileaks apps which are becoming a huge hit among the Assange fans.

In all its best efforts to prove their loyalty towards the US government, Apple joined the elite list of the companies making efforts to mum the Wikileaks. This elite list already includes Amazon, Bank of America and MasterCard.

The astonishing reason which the employees of Apple are giving for removing the Wikileaks apps from their stores is that they are ‘endangering lives’.

But the Google, which is credited with the second-largest online mobile applications store, is acting too lenient and provides the user with around six applications in its web store which makes it too easy to get the ‘leaked’ US documents. You can also get an alert whenever a new cable is leaked as a feature in some applications.

This action by Apple has not only disappointed a whole lot of Assange’s fans who are Apple fans but also have got on their nerves. They are outraged against this decision of Steve Jobs but the sources have confirmed that not many of the Wikileaks supporters are Apple users.

John Bumgarner, CTO of the US Cyber Consequences Unit has even rang the alarm bell by saying that now Apple is at risk of being a target of hacktivists who want to defend Wikileaks.
