Today, the 26th of December 2010, Sunday, at around 6.30 am in the morning, the Police had been called up and asked to come around to an occurrence wherein a couple of men had been having a fight in the corner of Riverbend Rd and Venables Ave Napier.

One man, of the age of 19 years old got arrested by the Police for fighting and is now aiding the Police with enquiries.

The other man had escaped from the scene and was found a few minutes later by Police itself, following his seeking of some medical treatment in a local Medical centre due to a stab wound made to his chest during the fight.

At present, he is being treated at the HB Hospital it is suspected that he might have a punctured lung due to the wound inflicted upon him.

Right now, however, his condition is stable and has not deteriorated since.

The Police are resuming their enquiries and investigation. They are still looking from any kind of information from anybody who might have been present in that area and been a witness to the incident.
