An unidentified flying object was seen in Dannevirke, almost 12 years ago. It was described as a silver disk-shaped object moving at an extreme speed. A group of modellers who were flying radio controlled airplanes saw a disk flying from the southeast toward southwest on Feb 9th 1998.
The air force authority stated in the report that there was no aircraft in the vicinity of Dannevirke when this strange flying disc was seen in the sky. This encounter is described in one of the thousand reports of UFO sighting from 1952 to 2009, which was released by the Defence force last week.
It was not included in the Defence force document regarding that incident which happened about 2 years ago. A Masterton woman saw an orange, yellow red sphere hovering near her home.
A retired school teacher Sally Davis said in her report that she saw a sphere shot across the sky at a phenomenal speed with trailing fire on the date of Jan 3rd, 2009.
Her neighbour Ms. Maria Morris who lives directly across the road stated the same. She said that she saw a prominent large size a halo of light at the same time.
