New Zealander’s New Year resolutionsJust one out of five New Zealanders opined that this year went nicely and many people have resolved to lose weight and sort out their finances in the coming fresh year, according to a new poll.

According to the newest Fly Buys poll, conducted by Colmar Brunton, the most popular New Year's resolution among the New Zealanders was saving more. About 58% of the New Zealand population opted to concentrate on that in 2011.

The second most popular resolution was to exercise, grabbing 55% of the votes of people who opted to focus on that area.

Tied at third place was decreasing debts and also reducing the waistlines. 49% of the New Zealanders wanted to focus on them both.

According to Fly Buys chief executive Lance Walker, reducing weight is normally the most popular resolution every year. However it is an interesting observation the way saving money and reducing debts have become so popular. It displays the reality of how we live in a modern era and how we spend our money.

Through the poll, it was also discovered that merely one out of five New Zealanders regarded 2010 to have gone nicely without any unease.
