Former American President Bill Clinton is one of those people, who are happy after going on an all out vegan diet. He says that the rate of metabolism in his body has touched a new high and he had started to weigh as much as he did way back in high school.
The decision to go vegetarian was taken by Mr. Clinton after his daughter Chelsea had got married, and he wanted to stay around a lot longer to see his grandchildren. Apart from improving his exterior health, another positive aspect about going on a vegan diet is that he is also reducing the chances of suffering from a stroke, heart diseases, cancer and various other health risks.
The former President happened to be one man who could never resist a snack and was in love with McDonald's. Though, his new persona was definitely not something a lot of people would have expected. However, after going green, Clinton is one man who is not at all sorry about giving up meat.
In recognition of the efforts pitched in by Clinton, the People for Ethical Treatment to Animals (Peta) has conferred the Person of the Year award to Mr. Clinton. He had opted to go green last year, when he had realized the fact that he had been on too many burgers, with the irony being that the man used to smack a double hamburger prior to an anti-obesity speech.
