Early Maturity leads to Depression in Girls

Early-Maturity-Depression-GirlsAccording to the latest study, menstruating at a small age can be a risk factor of experiencing gloominess with the teenage girls. Bristol University and Cambridge University have stated that numerous studies are connecting the occurrence of girls' initial periods and depressions amongst teenage.

As per the statistics from Western England's group observation on development and child health done on 2184 females, registered at the Avon Longitudinal. They discovered that the common age of first period between girls is 13 and half years.

All the connections can be seen among the beginning of menstruation and depressive indications at the age of ten years and six months, 13 and 14 years. To identify this depression, the girls were judged using SMFQ (Short Mood and Feelings Questionnaire).

Researchers have also stated the other factors for the depression can be their genetic father who might have left the home and the family at the early childhood days.

They can be of shoddier background or in terms of beauty that they lack in. According to Bristol University Lecturer, Dr. Carol Jonson of the School of Social and Community Medicine, late maturity is the best way of protection against psychosomatic distress.
