According to Labour's Youth Affairs spokesperson, Jacinda Ardern the maximum youth unemployment rate in 20 years is a reflection on the National Government.
Jacinda Ardern has alleged that in the recent figures of OECD it was discovered that the youth jobless rate was 19.8 percent. It showed that one in five young people are jobless.
The unemployment rates for young people are increasing day by day; on the other hand, the Government is silent. Steps to improve the economy are yet to be taken by the Government. At present a huge number of young people who desire to work have been neglected by the government.
Many plans such as Job Ops and Community Max are executed by the Minister for Youth Affairs, Paula Bennett for making a real variation to youth. While the OECD figures proved that these schemes aren't making a variation in youth unemployment rates. Changes are yet to be seen from these schemes.
Jacinda Ardern has commented undoubtedly that there is no practical durable solution with the National Government to overcome from this issue.
