Amid speculations surrounding iPhone 4 and Verizon, the Wall Street Journal has recently wrote that the carrier is set to launch the gadget from Apple's stable this Tuesday.
As experts say, if this happens and iPhone gets a place in Verizon's showcase, it will witness a major shift in balance of power in the industry as till now Verizon's rival AT&T Inc had an exclusive right to sell the fancy device, which is also the world's most preferred smartphone.
AT&T, which got iPhone's exclusive deal way back in 2007, witnessed a strong growth in its subscriber base due to the device. iPhone also gave it a strong lead over other service providers in the industry. As per WSJ, Apple considered partnering with Verizon to achieve a faster growth in terms of sales in the US.
Though WSJ could not bring out any information as to when Verizon will have the device in its stores, but it confidently mentioned that the Verizon press conference scheduled for Tuesday in New York.
With Verizon, the device will work just like the new iPhone except for the fact that it will run on the carrier's CDMA platform.
