Prosecutors now asking for WikiLeaks owned secret Govt. documents

Prosecutors now asking for WikiLeaks owned secret Govt. documentsProsecutors who are looking into the revelation of thousands of classified and secret government papers by WikiLeaks have appealed to the court, demanded the activities of the Twitter accounts of some people associated to the organization, even its founder, Julian Assange. They also demanded a copy of a subpoena that had been made public on Friday.

This subpoena was the first public proof in the criminal investigation, as declared last December by Attorney General Eric H. Holder Jr., that was urged on by members of Congress of the two parties.

However it is filled with legal and political problems for the Obama administration. It had been denounced by WikiLeaks earlier, which has till date made public only 1% of the quarter million confidential diplomatic cables that it owns.

However the group had threatened that it will make them all public on the internet if any criminal charges are found against them.

Number of Pentagon and State Department officials have put their efforts for several months for assessing the destruction done to American diplomatic and military operations due to the revelations. In the past few weeks, Justice Department officials have been asking for a legal reason so as to charge Mr. Assange with criminal conduct.
