The group, called the Northrop Grumman Cyber Security Research Consortium, would take up issues including software analysis; secure computer design, next-generation secure networks, computer forensics and improved software. The Consortium would initially take 10 projects aimed to increase nation's security in cyberspace given to the rising threats of data maneuvering. Brammer added that manifestation of information services and systems has been increased significantly and cyber-security threats are also rising which makes it necessary to equip the system with latest security technology. Brammer further said, "We need significant new technology developments, combined with improved security education, global standards, and understanding of security economics and psychology."
