Rock band Jane's Addiction has announced that its new album bound to come out later this year will be a lot different than any of its previous works. They have gone to the extent to say that their new CD will be inspired by the likes of Muse and Radiohead.
Talking about the new album, Frontman Perry Farrell informed that fans will be surprised as the band will be shifting from its regular style of, heavy rock `n' roll riffs to a completely different sound. The new genre will be more on the lines of the post-punk, goth darkness genre, which has been often played by Muse.
In an interview to the Rolling Stones, Perry says that though, the band wants to please its fans. But, they had to look at their own individual growth as well, and the new found sound was what they would prefer playing now.
Jane's Addiction had formerly gone into a hiatus in the year 1991. The band had later on made many reunions. Though, it was only in the year 2008 that the band united back for good, though, their previous bassist Eric Avery left in the year 2009. Following Avery, former bassist for Guns `n' Roses, Duff McKagan played with the band.
However, it was Dave Sitek, who finally decided to join the band and help them with the bass.
