Men are found to be having a type of allergic effects form their own semen, according to a new study that was conducted through a research in the Netherlands. The men start feeling sick as soon as they have an ejaculation in any form.
The new study the Dutch researchers has confirmed that the mysterious disorder is popularly known as Post Orgasmic Illness Syndrome or POIS in short. In this disorder the men start feeling flu like symptoms such as fever, runny nose, stinging eyes, and sudden intense fatigue after an orgasm.
The study was published in the Journal of Sexual Medicine which describes the syndrome as allergic in nature and a possible cause for those men to face such post-ejaculation symptoms.
Dr. Marcel Waldinger, a professor of sexual psychopharmacology at Utrecht University in the Netherlands, and his colleagues studied 45 men with POIS. After the analysis, they noticed that the men started feeling sick as soon as they have an ejaculation. But they didn't report any illness when they masturbated without an ejaculation.
Dr. Marcel Waldinger said, "They didn't feel ill when they masturbated without ejaculating, but as soon as the semen came from the testes... after that they became ill, sometimes within just a few minutes."
