Ever since Facebook has come up as a legitimate threat to Google, Google is busy working hard to retain its talent. Recently there were speculations about Google giving a 10% raise to everyone.
Search engine major Google have had a great fourth quarter and it’s not just Google who has been going through all the bad, YouTube too has been on fire and reportedly Android is likely to give Apple a hard time.
Google Buzz and Google Wave have emerged to be a failures and Facebook too is giving Google a tough time, maybe this is why Larry Page is replacing Eric Schmidt as CEO.
Even though Schmidt has given Google a great platform but lests not forget its Larry Page’s Company now. In recent times it has been seen that Google no more has a clear vision and hence fails to execute it. So perhaps it is high time Google finds a visionary leader to take Google to new heights, just like Apple’s Steve Jobs and Facebook’s Mark Zuckerberg.
So it looks like Google terribly needs a Steve Jobs for its Company since we cannot deny that CEO’s had a major role to play in the decline of Microsoft and the rise of Apple.
Perhaps there is no doubt about the fact that it was very right to declare Steve Jobs as the ‘CEO of the decade’, for all that he did to transform Apple into what it is today.
