The University of East Anglia has established a couple of investigations concerning the email theft that took place at its Climatic Research Unit (CRU). Skeptics claimed that the stolen emails displayed that scientists had agreed to manipulate the science that works behind global warming.
The two investigations cleared the scientists of scientific impropriety. However on the insistence of the campaigners the questions continues to exist regarding the openness of research and the constituents of some of the emails.
An enquiry conducted by the Science and Technology Committee regarding the official investigations is the newest try to reach the conclusion of the issue.
According to Andrew Miller, the Labour Chairman of the Committee, the earlier investigations had been unsuccessful in answering the accusation that certain stolen email scientists seemed to boost one another for eradicating emails.
According to the claim of some skeptics, the emails might indicate as to the procedure resorted by the scientists for attempting to manipulate the climate change debate.
There has been a clear denial by the University regarding this. However, according to Mr. Miller, the investigation should have attempted to get hold of evidence about if the emails are still there, existing or not.
