ACS: Law, the firm owned by Andrew Crossley, has sent letters to various internet users. The company has done this on-behalf of Media CAT clients. The letters included thousands of threatening regarding the alleged file -shares. ACS: Law is a law firm of United Kingdom.
This firm is specialized in laws of IP (Intellectual Property). This firm is basically known for its actions against person evidently infringing copyright with the help of peer-to-peer file distribution.
Andrew Crossley is the only registered solicitor and the main partner of this firm. He was found guilty in the conduct of unbefitting a solicitor by the Authority of Solicitors Regulation twice. On August 2010, the Solicitors Regulation Authority had given a confirmation that Crossley was summoning to tribunal of his third disciplinary against the suspected copyright infringers.
In May 2009 ACS: Law had stated many claims against the suspected copyrights. According to Crossley by April 2010 ACS: Law recovered £1 million from the suspected copyright infringers.
On January 24, Crossley had declared that he is withdrawing from claims again the illegal file-shares. This statement happened during a case at Patents County Court of London.
