Defense chiefs created risk for Britain’s Security

Nimrod-spy-planesFormer military leaders have warned the Defense chiefs for putting the Britain's security on risk. This risk occurred when they scrapped the task force of fresh Nimrod spy planes. Former commanders of all three services signed a letter branding the verdict to axe aircrafts.

The MRA4 scrutiny jets were prepared for operation to detect and sink down the enemy's submarines. These jets were anticipated to play important roles towards the protection of the nuclear armed Trident subs of Britain.

More than 6 retired military chiefs escorted by ex-chief of the Defense staff and Lord Craig chief of RAF (Royal Air Force) signed the open letter admonition that scrapping all of them will put down a massive amount of security gap.

In this letter, it was mentioned that Nimrod would continue to supply overland investigation and long-range maritime. These supplies also include air-sea rescue management and most importantly, they would also provide reconnaissance support to the Trident submarines of Navy. The work has been started this week on dismantling 9 planes in BAE Woodford, which actually cost £4billion for the taxpayers to build it.
