There is news in the market that Intel will be introducing several new tablets that are based on MeeGo OS in June. That is not all, it is also being said that the company has given limited information to the developers and has also invited them to preview the platform.
If the news is true then the announcement by Intel will coincide with that of Computex expo in Taipei and that is going to be a right platform for the launch.
Meanwhile, the developers have been found to be working with a reference design which is totally based on the single-core Oak Trail chipsets. The design was unveiled last year when the prototype of MeeGo-based tablet was made public and at that time, it also featured WiMAX radio for 4G broadband.
Experts believe that both Intel and Nokia are constantly adding MeeGo OS to their tablets with the idea of optimizations. It is similar to the strategy formed by Google where it has gone for more and more Android development.
As of now, it seems that MeeGo is just waiting for the new hardware so that it can begin its operation.
