Tibotec Pharmaceuticals unit of Johnson & Johnson has decided to allow three generic drugmakers in sub-Saharan Africa and India. They will provide copies of TMC278 in these nations.

They may distribute the drugs in parts of Asia if the company will receive the approval from the regulators. This has been informed by the company in a statement issued yesterday. The executive director of the New York-based AIDS Vaccine Advocacy Coalition, Mitchell Warren has said that the new drugs will be able to cure the patients then there will be a huge decline in the price of AIDS drugs in US. As per Warren, there may be a reduction of almost
99 percent in the price of the drugs in US.
