The Google Nexus S smartphone is reportedly heading to US mobile phone carrier AT&T. Currently, The Google Nexus S is available only on the airwaves of T-Mobile in the US. But, Mobile Whack has claimed that smartphone could soon be made available via AT&T, as they spotted a new model number in a Bluetooth SIG listing that is different from the T-Mobile version.
The Google Nexus S smartphone runs on the newest version of Google’s Android operating system- Android 2.3 (codenamed Gingerbread) and features a 4-inch WVGA Super AMOLED display that offers a resolution of 480 by 800 pixels. The device also comes equipped with a 1 GHz Hummingbird processor, a VGA camera on the front and a 5-megapixel camera on the rear, WiFi, Bluetooth 2.1+EDR, NFC, A-GPS and a microUSB 2.0 port.
The Nexus S has a 1500mAh Lithium Ion battery which offers average talk time of up to 6.7 hours on 3G and a standby time of up to 17.8 days on 3G.
The Nexus S, which replaced the Google Nexus One, will also be made available in Canada, South Korea and India in the not too distant future.
