Blue-tongue lizards might be seen the next couple of months. These blue-tongues are cold-blooded reptiles. It has been informed that February is a month when baby blue-tongues begin foraging for themselves. So it is quite possible to find a blue-tongue lizard in few days from now.
The cold blooded animal loves to sun bake itself to elevate its body temperatures.
However, here is good news for the lovers of this blue-tongued creature. The Foundation for National Parks and Wildlife has launched a backyard buddies program for the wild life lovers.
Now they can find out all information of this creature and may create an inviting and safe environment for the lizards. This is considered to be an excellent initiative.
Chief executive of The Foundation for National Parks and Wildlife, Leonie Gale has said that such initiatives will help the to enhance the population of this creature. This is only possible by making gardens safer places for blue-tongues. Doing this, their populations can be increased.
He has also advised to plant lots of low-growing shrubs so that blue-tongues may feel encouraged to come in to the garden.
