Microsoft retaliates to Google’s accusations of search copyingRetaliating to Google's accusations that Bing is copying its search results, Microsoft yesterday called copying claims `insulting'.

Microsoft senior vice president Yusuf Mehdi defended company's search engine Bing, claiming that the company had some of the best talent in the world.

Retaliating to Google's accusations, Mr. Mehdi said, "We do not copy results from any of our competitors. We have some of the best minds in the world at work on search quality."

Microsoft also accused Google of using a sort of click fraud to execute its Bing Sting. Fraud scammers make use of fake clicks on Web ads with an intention to get paid by advertisers.

The software giant added that Google's Bing Sting operation was little more than a publicity stunt.

Microsoft's retaliation followed Google's claims that Bing search engine is intestinally and methodically copying Google's search results.

However, Google's senior engineer Amit Singhal said that they stand by their original allegations that Microsoft's Bing is a copycat.
