An online survey firm suggests reports of widespread defections from AT&T and majority of Verizon’s current Android and BlackBerry users are hit by iPhone fever. Research by uSamp (United Sample, Inc).
uSamp, which surveyed more than 700 smartphone users, suggests a land-office business at Verizon as users of Android phones from Google and Blackberry phones switch to iPhone.
About 54 percent (with 25% very likely and 29% somewhat likely cases) of the total surveyed said they intended to buy Apple iPhone as soon as it hits the shelves on Feb 10. The smartphone users’ survey showed only 3.6 percent margin of error.
Thursday would be Verizon’s day as per the results of the survey as Apple’s (AAPL) iPhone on the Verizon (VZ) wireless network will be made available.
It would be a Verizon iPhone (ViP) day when the dreams of smartphone owners apparently will come true with the phone’s availability. As many smartphone users surveyed consider that Verizon’s offers better network connectivity than AT&T (T); however the conversion charges come at high cost.
