People have for long thought of chocolates as unhealthy and fruits as the most beneficial food for our health, however, a recently conducted study has come out with contrasting results. Apparently, a report that gas appeared in the publication known as Chemistry Central Journal on Sunday has stated that chocolates are a better way to boost your health, when compared to fruit juice.
It has been reported by experts that dark chocolate and cocoa happen to have a better anti-oxidizing quality. Apart from that, chocolates were also found to be rich in products, which are healthier for the heart of people like flavanols and polyphenol.
Talking about the study, a cardiologist at the Lenox Hill Hospital, Manhattan, Dr. Suzzane Steinbaum, said that the best choice for a sweet snack has to be a square of dark chocolate.
The research was carried out by experts at the Hershey Center for Health and Nutrition in the United States of America. The latest discovery has led to scientists touting cocoa beans as the latest discover of "super fruits".
Talking about the study, Lead Author, Debra Miller, informed that the ingredients found in dark chocolate were equally beneficial, if not better than the botanical compounds found in fruits.
