HP Veer Launched

 Hands on experienceHewlett-Packard unveiled its new smartphone, Veer, at a launch event on Wednesday. Although a full marvelous smartphone features have been wadded inside a tiny package, with just a width of 2.15 inches, 3.31 inches long and thickness of 0.59 inches, HP Veer’s miniature design will be challenging to handle for average-sized hands.
Other products that were presented during the launch event were HP’s new Pre3 smartphone and the TouchPad tablet but were not available to hold and experience like the functional demonstration units Veer. The TouchPad and Pre3 were circulated around being held by HP employees however visitors were allowed to touch the Pre3 and play with its keyboard.
But users could only The TouchPad was totally off limits except for HP presenters at demo stations. (The Veer's feature list is here, while the Pre3's is here.)
In the first glance the Veer does not even appear to the user as a sliding phone as the keyboard covers the chassis of the phone and needs some tact to work on it, especially the phone might be tough to use for those used to thumb-typing on a BlackBerry keyboard, or sliding their fingers on a virtual iPhone. The Veer although appears to be another feature phone, it has advanced features unlike other smaller phones of its order.
