Children Living in Houses Containing Meth Labs Equally Exposed to the Drug as AdultsA recently conducted study by Environment, Research and Science has revealed that children living in houses that contain P labs happen to face exposure levels that are similar to that of adult drug users. The latest conclusion has been reached after scientists had studied the hair samples of 36 children aged from 2-months to 16-years.

All the children were living in houses that consisted of a meth lab. The test results of the children were compared with the hair sample test results of adult people who used meth.

Following a proper analysis, it was revealed that eight-nine percent children had ended up testing positive for the drug. It was also found that the levels of the drug found in children were equivalent to the levels found in the hair samples of adults.

Talking about the research, an ESR Toxicologist and lead author, Tom Bassindale, informed that he was in for a surprise, when he compared the test results of children to test results of adults. He could not believe that children were exposed to the drug for as long a time as adults and that the drug was found all over the hair of children after analysing them for a period spanning six months.
