A New Drug Application will be soon filled out by the pharmaceutical conglomerate QRxPharma. The drug maker is known for developing medicines that specialize in providing relief against pain. The Company will submit its application to the US Food and Drug Administration.
The latest development has come after the organization was successful in completing its third phase of trials regarding the medicine known as MoxDuo. According to the available information, MoxDuo is a drug that will act as a dual opioid.
Trials regarding the medication were carried out in the US. During the trials, a flexible dosage prescription was compared with a fixed one. Following a close analysis, it was reported that people consuming the flexible dosage were more likely to endure less pain when compared to others.
Talking about the study, the Managing Director and the CEO of QRxPharma, Dr. John Holaday, said that the development of MoxDuo was an important achievement for the Company. He added that apart from providing care as an analgesic to people by relieving them of pain, the drug in all possibilities met the criteria of satisfying the needs of an NDA.
The dual opioid basically consists of two types of drugs known as morphine and oxycodone. Both the chemicals have a different neurochemical functioning and are known to provide each other complimentary effect when used together.
